Benefits

Alternating between hot and cold treatments stimulates blood flow, enhancing circulation throughout the body. This increased circulation can aid in delivering oxygen and nutrients to tissues, as well as removing metabolic waste products.

Contrast therapy can help alleviate muscle soreness and stiffness by promoting muscle relaxation and reducing inflammation. Athletes often use it post-exercise to speed up recovery.

By increasing blood flow and promoting tissue repair, contrast therapy may facilitate faster healing of injuries such as muscle strains, sprains, and bruises.

The combination of hot and cold treatments can provide effective pain relief for various conditions, including arthritis, tendonitis, and general muscle pain. Heat therapy soothes and relaxes muscles, while cold therapy numbs nerve endings and reduces inflammation.

Contrast therapy can help improve joint mobility by reducing stiffness and increasing flexibility. This can be especially beneficial for individuals with conditions like osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis.

The sensation of alternating between hot and cold temperatures can have a relaxing effect on the body and mind, helping to reduce stress and promote overall well-being.

Some research suggests that contrast therapy may have immune-boosting effects by increasing circulation and promoting lymphatic drainage. A healthy immune system is crucial for fighting off infections and maintaining overall health.

Contrast therapy helps regulate the body’s inflammatory response. Cold therapy reduces inflammation by constricting blood vessels, while heat therapy can help soothe and relax inflamed tissues. By promoting a balanced inflammatory response, contrast therapy supports tissue repair and resilience.

Contrast therapy FAQS

You have the room for 75 minutes! There should be plenty of time to get in 3 full circuits of contrast.

Drink lots of water. Consider taking cold showers to get used to cold therapy. Explore breathing techniques for cold immersion. Example from Wim Hoff method: Breathe in deeply through the nose or mouth and through the belly to the chest. Then let the breath go unforced. Exhale through the mouth, then immediately breathe in again. Take 30–40 such breaths in short bursts. Take one final, deep inhalation then let the air out and stop inhaling.

We keep a continuous, safe amount of chlorine in combination with UV light sanitation. The water is consistently circulating through a premium spa filter for an impeccably clean experience.

While we love your kids, their bodies are not developed enough to regulate hot and cold the same way. We require guests to be at least 16 years of age and parental consent is required if you are younger than 18 years old.

Our contrast therapy suite is perfect for two! Feel free to add a guest for just $30, or $20 if you’re a contrast therapy member.

Never! This experience is of your own design. If you have enjoyed it to your fullest extent, you are welcome to exit the room at any time.

Contrast therapy is intentional hormetic stress for wellness. This does not come without risks that are higher for individuals with a history of heart disease, high blood pressure, circulatory diseases, pulmonary diseases or cold related diseases. This therapy is not recommended for those who are pregnant or may be pregnant. If you have any concerns, take prescription medications, or have a history of disease, talk with your doctor before taking part in this service.
